Population
- Andorra’s resident population reached 88,649 in 2025, up 1.8% from the previous year and close to the 90,000 threshold. This marks an increase of over 20,000 residents since 2013, underscoring rapid demographic growth.
- Beyond permanent residents, Andorra’s floating population—driven largely by tourism—exceeded 14 million, equivalent to an average presence comparable to 127,000 inhabitants, highlighting how the country’s effective population is much larger than its registered size.

Age structure
- Andorra has one of the world’s lowest fertility rates (0.8 children per woman) and one of the highest life expectancy (84.6 years).
- In 2024, only 11% of residents were under 15, while 15% were over 65; since 2010, the 65+ group has risen by 75%. Projections suggest 30–40% of the population could be over 65 by 2050.

Immigration
- In 2024, net migration was +1,874, driven by 4,591 arrivals, with 3,067 newcomers under 40; Spanish nationals were the largest group (1,502).
- Only 45.3% of residents hold Andorran nationality, meaning 54.7% are foreign nationals—among the highest shares globally.
- A newly approved quota system will limit residence and work permits to 900 per year (excluding temporary workers), including 200 for cross-border workers, with scope to expand quotas by 30% if required.
